Batch generation, reference books, search and the loading visualiser

This release covers document processing, the admin panel, reference books, search and the loading visualiser. Specifications with a large number of line items are now read in full.

New features (5)
  • Batch document generation. Several documents built from shared data can be selected at once and validated in a single pass.
  • Required fields per document type. The admin panel defines a set of required fields for each document type. The document will not generate until they are filled in.
  • The Reference books section. Search, filters and management of your own values. An administrator enables reference books separately for each user.
  • Search across deals. Global search finds the deal and opens the document. The file it found is highlighted on the page.
  • Load and permitted tiers in the visualiser. Items now carry load and comments. The loading plan checks permitted stacking tiers.
Improvements (3)
  • Files with a large number of line items. Some rows in large specifications could be left out of processing. All line items are now read, no matter how many there are.
  • The loading visualiser. Changes to the interface and behaviour:
    • item selection is synchronised between the list and the plan
    • the logic behind bulk item selection has been reworked
    • the plan shows the front and rear of the vehicle and its width
    • the maximum zoom level has been increased
    • the reason an item cannot be placed is shown as text
    • item parameters have been translated
    • moving items between vehicles and rotating boxes has been simplified
  • Reference books. User search has been added to the settings. Value options for documents and for the reference book are now separate: hints shown while filling in a document no longer mix with reference data.
Fixes (3)
  • Fixed incorrect weight display in the visualiser.
  • Fixed moving items in 2D and 3D modes.
  • Fixed the logic behind bulk item selection.
Changes that require action (2)
  • Document generation can be blocked. If required fields are configured for a document type, the document will not generate until they are filled in.

    What to do: check the required-field settings in the admin panel before your first generation.

  • Deleting in reference books is now archiving. Records are not deleted permanently, they move to the Archive tab.

    What to do: if a record has disappeared from the list, find it in the archive and restore it.
